EISAI CENTRAL UTILITIES BUILDING, RTP, NC

CTT has provided structural design services for a utility expansion at Eisai.  Our design focused on a 19,000 SF Central Utilities Building (CUB) with an associated office mezzanine, utility supports, and equipment foundations for boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.  Building framing, foundations, and lateral stability schemes were designed to allow for future expansion on two sides.  The building is remotely located to the existing production facility as well to the new Parenteral production facility.  Our services also included the design of a three-level exterior pipe bridge in excess of 500 linear feet for support of utilities from the CUB to these buildings.

Structural analysis of the roof on the existing facility was also required to ensure that the structure could adequately support new utility loads.

CTT worked closely with a multi-discipline design team, general contractor, and the owner on this fast track project.
