CTT
served
as Structural Engineer of Record on two ethanol production
plants. Production for each of the two new plants is 55 MGPY. CTT
supported the prime consultant located on the east coast by performing a
structural liaison role with the international sub-consultant. CTT was
responsible for the creating the project design basis, final structural
design, and review of structural shop drawings. Project requirements
included travel to the prime consultant’s location and to the
sub-consultant’s locations overseas. Drawings were extracted from Owner
approved 3D model.
Plants 1 & 2:
55 MGPY production; 28 Tank foundations; Rail and truck receiving;
Underground grain handling facility; Distillation and Evaporation
Superstructure; Product Storage Capacity of 1,100,000 gal; 2 Layer pipe rack
extending over 600 feet; Approximately 1000 tons of steel; Multiple
independent equipment foundations; Multiple equipment mat foundations;
Multiple elevated steel structures.
