CTT
served as
Structural Engineer of Record on two new dual train chemical plants. CTT
supported the prime consultant located in the Midwest by performing a
structural liaison role with the international sub-consultant. CTT was
responsible for the creating the project design basis, final structural
design, and review of structural shop drawings. Project requirements
included travel to the prime consultant’s location and to the
sub-consultant’s locations overseas. Drawings were extracted from Owner
approved 3D model.
Plant 1:
Product Storage Capacity of 1,250,000 gal; 5 Layer pipe rack extending over
900 feet; Approximately 1500 tons of steel; Multiple independent equipment
foundations; Multiple equipment mat foundations; Multiple elevated steel
structures; Multiple elevated equipment supports; 150 foot cantilevered
stack foundation.
Plant 2:
Product Storage Capacity of 925,000 gal; 3 Layer pipe rack extending over
600 feet; Approximately 700 tons of steel; Multiple independent equipment
foundations; Multiple equipment mat foundations; Multiple elevated steel
structures; Multiple elevated equipment supports; (2) 130 foot cantilevered
stack foundation.
