Royal Palm Drive, Waterford Plantation, Timber Access Bridge, Leland, NC

CTT provided structural engineering services to design a 96’ long,  two-lane, AASHTO HS20 design loading, timber access bridge. The two lanes provide a 22’ clear roadway width. Timber bridge beams span in the longitudinal directions across timber caps spaced at 11’-0” on center. Each cap consisted of five driven timber piles, of which the outer piles are battered. Guardrails and curbing systems are provided on each side of the bridge.
