Criser Troutman Tanner provided structural engineering services to design a 185’ long, two-lane, AASHTO HS20 design loading, timber access bridge. The two lanes provide a 24’ clear roadway width. Timber bridge beams span in the longitudinal directions across timber caps spaced at 10’-0” on center. Each cap consisted of seven driven timber piles, of which the outer piles are battered. Timber guardrails and curbing systems are provided on each side of the bridge.
