Forest Sound Marina Bulkhead Replacement, Hampstead, NC

Photo taken at 80% complete

CTT provided provided the study and design for the replacement of the existing, deteriorated, timber bulkhead around the marina. The timber was replaced with approximately 850 LF of vinyl sheet piling and 2,400 vertical LF of timber mooring piles. The bulkhead utilized helical earth anchors instead of the traditional deadman anchors due to the limited easement behind the bulkhead. The existing bulkhead was left in place.

CTT produced complete design plans, specifications, and contract documents as well as holding a bid letting, assisted in negotiations with the selected contractor, and provided limited construction phase services.
